About The Company

We're supporting a growing and profitable SME services organisation headquartered in central Bristol with the appointment of a Head of Finance.

About the Role

This is a newly-created, number one Finance position reporting to the Managing Director and supporting the wider SLT.

This position is a fantastic coming-together of total financial management and genuine business partnering. The Head of Finance must be comfortable working cross-collaboratively with operational and commercial departments to ensure billing and project costs are captured accurately, and where needed, educating non-financial team members. Strong relationship building will be vital, proactively creating relationships through good communication and sound process management.

The Head of Finance position is responsible for the overall accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with accepted accounting principles.

This is a hybrid working position, 2 days on site in central Bristol. 

About The Candidate

We're looking for fully qualified candidates in CIMA, ACCA or ACA.

Those coming from professional services, business consulting or similar environments (WIP, utilisations etc) are strongly preferred.

You must be a clear communicator who can provide instruction in natural language without jargon that overwhelms your stakeholders.
