6-month contract | Immediate start| £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

About the Company

A financial services organisation in Bristol is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function and support strategic and operational decision-making. This role sits within a collaborative central team and will work closely with senior leaders across the business.

You’ll take ownership of core management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis while supporting wider commercial and operational projects. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

Management Reporting & Insight

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial commentary.
  • Maintain robust month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
  • Provide meaningful analysis to support leadership teams in understanding business performance.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Work directly with managers to support them in planning, cost control and decision-making.
  • Develop financial models to assess new initiatives and support business case development.

Cashflow, Treasury & Financial Control

  • Prepare short- and long-term cashflow forecasts.
  • Support banking, treasury and liquidity activities.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all reporting.

Commercial & Operational Support

  • Analyse the financial impact of ongoing projects and business activities.
  • Support the review and monitoring of supplier arrangements and contract performance.
  • Assist in preparing financial metrics, dashboards and key performance indicators.
  • Provide clear, accessible financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and update process documentation and finance procedures.
  • Support improvements in systems, reporting quality and data accuracy across the finance team.

About You

  • A qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience producing management accounts and supporting budgeting/forecasting cycles.
  • Strong Excel capability and comfortable working with financial systems.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and reliable — able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confident working with stakeholders, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
  • Analytical, curious and comfortable handling complex data sets.
  • Values accuracy, transparency and working collaboratively.
